1/2 cup milk
5 eggs
1 pkg white cake mix
1/2 cup cooking oil
2 pkgs pistachio pudding
1/2 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and pour into an ungreased angel food pan. Bake 325 for 70 minutes. A simple frosting can be made by mixing 1 pkg cool whip and 1 pkg pistachio pudding.

I do remember mom making pistachio cake when I was growing up. I would have assumed actual pistachios were involved in the recipe but this was back in the 70's. The cake was good none the less.
