Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/3 cup each Margarine and brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg (recipe cut off here so maybe 2 eggs, likely 1)
xxx (probably 1) tsp vanilla

(From a second recipe: 2 tbls each milk and lemon juice. These would be included in the "remaining ingredients" step. Also 2nd recipe only calls for 1/4 cup sugar. Also second recipe confirms 1 egg)

Directions:
Directions:
Blend margarine, brown sugar and flour until crumbled. Add nuts. Reserve about 1 cup crumb mixture for topping. Press remaining in bottom of 8x8 pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Beat cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat thourally. Blend in remaining ingredients. Spread over crust top with reserved crumb mixture. Bake at (? likely 350, cut off) for 35 minutes.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Besides the fact that my mom was making these cheese cake squares until the last Easter holiday before she passed away (I'm sure through memory), this is the oldest and most ragged recipe in her box. So hard to say if she did any unrecorded "tweaks" along the way, but this is the original recipe plus second (equally as ragged) recipe.
