Salmon fillets skin on, salt & pepper, ground ginger powder and real maple syrup

Preheat saute pan lightly salt &pepper flesh side of salmon, sprinkle ground ginger and a pinch of sugar (helps browning) add 1 tablespoon canola oil to pan on medium high to high heat when oil shimmers add salmon fillets skin side up and cook till med brown approximately 4-5 minutes. Gently turn salmon skin side down and continue to cook 3 minutes drizzle maple syrup over salmon and place in 400* preheated oven for 3-5 minutes until nicely glazed and done to your liking test fish like you would a steak the firmer to the touch the more done it is.
