6 medium green peppers
1 lbs. lean hamburger, cooked
1½ cups cooked rice
1 medium onion, finely chopped
⅓ cup tomato juice
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
¾ cup water, divided
4 cups carrots, cut in ¼-inch rings
¾ tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
Shredded cheese, optional

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cut off tops of green peppers, cut in ‘half’, and remove seeds and membrane.
2. Mix together the hamburger, rice, onion, tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, sugar, and ¼ cup water. Mix thoroughly and stuff peppers. Stand peppers up around edge of skillet.
3. Pile carrots in centre of skillet then sprinkle with salt and dot with butter.
4. Pour remaining ½ cup water in skillet, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes.
5. When done, put shredded cheese on top of green peppers and drizzle corn syrup over carrots. Serve warm.
