1¼ c. cake flour or take out 2 tbsp. if using regular flour
12 egg whites (1½ c.)
1¼ tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp. almond flavoring
2 c. sugar (divided)

Directions:
Directions:
Stir flour and ½ c. sugar together. Beat at room temperature the egg whites. Gradually add cream of tartar and flavorings, whipping until very stiff. Sift 1⅓ c. sugar (or stir until free of lumps). Gradually whip into egg whites. Beat in flour gradually on low speed of mixer. Pour into 10" tube pan. Bake at 375º for 35-40 minutes.
