Personal Notes: We just had our John Motley Morehead High School
55th class reunion in Eden, NC. I had told all my classmates about my
recipe book. When I arrived at the reunion I was talking to my classmate
Dr. Carl Rhodes. He asked if I had a Brown Sugar Pie recipe. I said to
him I don't think so. So, he said when he got back home he would send
me the recipe for the pie. I received the recipe today and just had to have
it in my Recipe Book. Many years ago when this recipe was written we
had sweet milk or butter milk. Sweet milk as we called it, is the same as
whole milk today. So, this is a very old recipe. The recipe came from
Doris Crews, Carl and Gale Rhodes' stepmother. Thank you Carl for this
recipe.
