½ c sugar
3 eggs, well beaten
1 pkg Fleischmann’s yeast with ¼ c warm water
4 c flour (or a little more)
1 c scalded milk
½ c melted Crisco (or half margarine half Crisco)
1¼ t salt
Cinnamon

Custard Topping:
1 pt cream (or half and half)
3 eggs, beaten
1 c sugar
1 t cornstarch
Any fruit, cut into sizes you want

Streusel Topping:
1 c butter
1 c sugar
1 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dough directions: Soften yeast in ¼ c warm water. Add shortening to hot milk; let cool. Mix egg, sugar, and salt in bowl. Add egg to mixture and beat until light. Add yeast and flour. Knead well and let it rise once. Roll dough out to about ½ inch thick. Cut into 6 wedges; spread with melted butter. Roll from wide end and lay in pie pan.

Custard Topping directions: Cook in double boiler as a thin custard. Let cool. Cut fruit into pieces the size you wish. Place fruit on top of kuchen dough. Pour custard topping on top of fruit. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.

Struesel Topping directions: Mix together with a fork. Cinnamon or other spices may be added. Sprinkle on top of kuchen.
