6½ c. flour (or part whole wheat)

Directions:
Soften yeast in water. Add sugar and salt and 3 c. flour. Beat with mixer until smooth. Add shortening and eggs and beat well again using mixer. Add another cup of flour then stir in remaining flour to make dough easily handled. Knead well and place in greased bowl; cover and let sit until double in size. Make rolls and let rise 20-30 minutes. Bake at 375º for 20-25 minutes. Makes 2½ dozen rolls. I shape these into small oblongs, brush with beaten egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
