- 1 c butter, softened (2 sticks)
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 c unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c raspberry jam

GLAZE:
- 1 c confectioners sugar
- 2 Tbsp. evaporated milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat oven - 350 degrees

1. Kitchen Aide or hand mixer: Cream butter, sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla.
2. In separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt
3. Gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.
4. Divide dough into 4 sections - shape each into 10" x 2.5" log. Place 4" apart on greased or foil lined
baking sheets.
5. Make 1/2" depression down the center of each log.
6. Bake 350 degrees 10 - 15 min until lightly browned. Cool - 2 minutes.
7. Remove to cutting board; put on wire racks.
8. When cool, put on cutting board and glaze. Then cut into 3/4" slices.

GLAZE:
In small bowl, combine ingredients and mix well. Put in a sandwich size zip lock bag. Hold tight at top and snip a small corner and glaze each log.
