1½ lb brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved lengthwise
3 tbsp olive oil (virgin or balsamic)
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
Italian seasoning (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º.
Toss sprouts with oil. Arrange on a baking sheet. Liberally sprinkle with salt and pepper then turn sprouts over so they are cut-side down and place on center oven rack.

Roast 30-45 min, shaking pan every 5-7 min for even browning. Reduce heat when necessary to prevent burning. They will be dark brown when done. Serve immediately.

The smaller the brussels sprouts are, the sweeter they will be. The larger, the more they taste like cabbage.
