Directions:
Prepare a German Sweet Chocolate Cake according to package directions baking in a 9x13 dish. When cake comes out of oven, use the handle of a wooden spoon and poke holes all over the cake. Meanwhile, put 1 jar of Caramel Sauce in a saucepan and melt. (Mrs. Richardson’s is the preferred brand). Pour melted caramel over the top of the cake, allowing it to run into the holes. After cooling, spread Cool Whip over the top of the cake.
Place 2 Heath Bars in freezer and when frozen, pound with a rolling pin until crumbled. Sprinkle crumbs over Cool Whip. Toast about a ½ cup of slivered almonds until golden brown and sprinkle over cake.
