1 c. brown sugar
½ c. butter
¼ c. white corn syrup
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. butter flavoring or vanilla
4 oz. Spanish peanuts
3 to 5 quarts popped popcorn

Directions:
Directions:
In a 2 quart glass measuring bowl, combine sugar, butter, syrup and salt. Cook in microwave oven on Full Power for 2­-3 minutes or until mixture boils. Stir. Continue to cook 2 minutes longer on Full Power. Remove from microwave; stir in soda and flavoring. Place popcorn and peanuts in a large bowl or brown paper bag. Pour syrup over popcorn. Cover or fold top of bag down and cook on Full Power for 4½-5½ minutes. Stir or shake mixture every 45-60 seconds. Spread caramel corn on waxed paper to cool. Store in tightly covered container.
