Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 box instant vanilla pudding
1 can pineapple chunks
maraschino cherries and some juice
chunks of your favorite fruits

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cut up a mixing bowl of your fruit to bite size pieces.  Apples, oranges, grapes, whatever you like and is in season.  Add some maraschino cherries for color and to make the kids happy. Drain a can of pineapple chunks.  You probably won't use all the pineapple but you need the juice for the dressing.

 2. The dressing is the key.  Use about half the box of instant vanilla pudding mix.  Mix just enough pineapple juice with the pudding mix to make a fairly thick sauce.  Add a bit of maraschino cherry juice to add color.  The sauce will thin out when you add the fruit and even more when it sits.

3. Mix some of the dressing with the fruit. Add more dressing until you get it to the right consistency. Serve chilled.

Personal Notes:
My grandmother always put bananas in this salad but they got mushy and brown. So use them if you love them... but you can't say I didn't warn you.
