1/2 loaf of white bread slices
1 small onion, diced
2 stalk celery, optional
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
1/4 t. sage
3 T. butter, melted
Hot water or chicken stock

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º.

Set bread out the night before to dry out. When ready to prepare, tear bread into bite-sized pieces and place in large mixing bowl. Add onion and celery, if desired, and salt, pepper, sage and melted butter. Slow add liquid of choice 1/2 cup at a time until desired consistency. Taste and adjust seasonings. If too soggy, add more bread...too dry, add more hot liquid. Put in baking dish and bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
