Directions:
Wash green beans; trim off tops. Cut into bite size pieces. Place beans in quart jar, add 1 tsp. salt. Cover with boiling water, leaving 1-inch head space. Run table knife gently between beans and jar to remove bubbles. Wipe top and threads of jar with damp, clean cloth. Place seal and rim on jar. Cold-pack for 2½ to 3 hours in boiling water. Set aside to seal.
