All vegetables need to be blanched before freezing to preserve their flavour.
Green and Red peppers are an exception - remove seeds and freeze as is

Blanching Time :
Asparagus - 2-3 min
Green or Wax beans 3 min cut - 4 min whole
Shredded Cabbage - 1 1/2 min
Peas - 2 min
Corn - blanch cobs 3 mins - cut kernals off cobs after blanching

in all cases cool quickly and freeze

Stewed diced tomatoes and tomato juice freeze well.
