1¼ c sugar
Dash of salt
3 tbsp flour
1½ c milk
3 eggs, slightly beaten
3 c heavy cream
1 pint strawberries, washed and hulled
Few drops red food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Combine 1 c of the sugar, salt and flour in a medium size saucepan; add milk gradually. Cook over medium heat, stirring until mixture thickens and bubbles. Remove from heat. Stir ½ the mixture slowly into beaten eggs in a medium size bowl, stir back into remaining mixture in saucepan. Cook stirring constantly 1 minute. Remove from heat, four into a large bowl, cool, stir in cream chill. Mash strawberries with a potato masher or fork in a large bowl; stir in remaining ¼ c sugar. Blend strawberries into chilled mixture; add food coloring for a deeper pink Pour into 4-6 quart freezer can and freeze.
