1 baked pastry shell
6 slice bacon or ham-cooked
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
3 sliced green onions
3 eggs-slightly beaten
1 cup half and half
1/2 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
1/4 t. nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare pastry shell and set aside
sprinkle meats, cheese, vegetable on bottom of crust.
Blend eggs, 1/2 and 1/2, and seasonings and pour over ingredients in crust.
Bake in 350 over for approximately 45 minutes-1 hour until set.

This is classic French quiche at its best.....however, also an opportunity to get creative!
I often use spinach, onion, sausage, red pepper and a mix of white cheeses in place of the ham/bacon and Swiss. I do think the key is the pinch of nutmeg!
