1 pkg Pepperidge Farm stuffing (lge)
6 eggs
2 large onions
1 roll Jimmy Dean Sausage (mild)
1 lb butter
1 tbsp thyme seasoning
1 tbsp onion powder
1 splash of vinegar
1 tbsp poultry seasoning
1 tbsp salt & pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven at 350º. Slice onions (be prepared to cry) and saute in butter until softened; set aside. Separately, brown sausage and drain; set aside. Mix all ingredients together in a very large bowl (except water). Separately, bring the water to a boil, then gradually blend in water. Pan spray a deep set pan and cover loosely with tin foil and bake for 30 minutes.(if using glassware reduce oven temperature to 325º). *Every family has their favorites, so you can add any or all (depending on how busy you want the stuffing to be): 1 cup celery, diced and/or 1 cup apples, diced and/or 1 cup cranberries. Stuffing to water ratio: 2 lbs = 16 cups of stuffing and 5 cups of water; 1 lb = 8 cups of stuffing and 2 ½ cups of water; 6 cups of stuffing = 2 cups of water. Vegetarian without sausage.

The add on for sausage came from our sister Nannette. My mother used to use stale bread; with the advent of packaged stuffing, Pepperidge Farms (herbed) was her favorite. I see that Mom had a sense of style even as a young girl...this went to Michele in later years, whom made her own clothes as a teenager.
