1 cup butter, softened to room temperature
2-3 T lemon juice
2 cloves of garlic, pressed or minced
2 T sweet onion, very finely minced
3 T fresh parsley, finely minced
1 tsp dried summer savory leaves
1/8 tsp cayenne or red pepper
Salt as desired
2 lbs fresh halibut fillets, skinned about 1 to 1 1/2 in thick, lightly salt to taste
2 T butter, melted
1/2 c almonds, sliced and toasted

About 2 hours before preparing the fish, prepare the herbed butter. In a med-sized bowl, combined the butter, lemon juice, garlic, onion, parsley, savory, cayenne and salt (if desired). Mix well to incorporate all. Scoop the butter into a small round balls and place on a plate, cover and chill before serving. Season the fillets with salt, then drizzle the melted butter over all and place on a boiler rack. Place under your preheated broiler and broil about 4-5 min per side, then sprinkle the almonds over all. Place 1 or 2 herbed butter balls over each piece of fish and serve immediately.
