1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
2 tsp raw organic sugar
½ tsp salt
1 stick unsalted butter (cold)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all dry ingredients with a whisk. Cut cold butter into pieces and add to mixture. Cut in butter until it resembles coarse meal. Add the buttermilk to the dry ingredients with hands or a wooden spoon until moistened. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead lightly 4-5 times and shape into a ball. Roll or pat dough out to about 1 inch thickness. Cut with a mason jar lid and place on an untreated cookie sheet. Makes 8-10 biscuits. Bake about 12-14 minutes at 450º until light golden brown. Serve with jam.
