2 lbs lean ground beef
1 large onion
1 large can mushrooms, chopped
1 can cream mushroom condensed soup
1 can cream celery condensed soup
2 c. Beef broth (I use beef base and water)
Season-All salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder to taste
1 t Kitchen Bouquet (optional)
1/4 c. Flour and 1/2 c. water (to thicken) - more water or flour to make a moderately thin thickener

Mashed Potatoes
6 - 8 russet potatoes, peeled and boiled
1/4 c. Sour cream
4 t Butter
Salt and Pepper to taste
2-3 T milk

1. Season hamburger with Season-All salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Brown hamburger with onions in large saucepan.

2. Add soups, mushrooms, broth, Kitchen Bouquet (optional for color and flavor). Simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3. Thicken with flour and water mixture as needed.

4. Peel and boil potatoes. Mash with milk, butter, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

5. Place potatoes on plate, making indent in center of mound. Pour hamburger mixture over the top.

6. Serve with vegetables and warm bread.

This recipe is adapted from Patty Marzolf's recipe. A good comfort food for cool nights. We call it Hamburger Gravy over Mashed Potatoes.
