Cheese Filling:
16 oz. Cottage Cheese
4 cups shredded Mozzarella
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp oregano
½ tsp garlic powder
2 eggs

Meat Filling:
2 lbs lean ground beef
(or, 6 oz chopped spinach for vegetarian version)
24 oz. marinara
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp Italian seasoning

Directions:

Brown ground beef and drain grease. Mix cooked ground beef with marinara, setting aside enough marinara to water-down and use for thin top and bottom layer (approx. 1 cup). Add thin layer of water/marinara to bottom of baking dish. Alternate uncooked noodles, cheese filling, noodles, and meat mixture until dish is ¾ full. Finish with thin layer of water/marinara to cover top layer. Sprinkle top layer with shredded Mozzarella and cover with foil/lid. Bake at 350 for approximately 1 hour until noodles are tender. Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
