1 lb Italian sausage
2 Lg russet potatoes, cut into ¼ inch pieces
1 large onion, chopped
Real bacon bits ( can make your own or use already made)
2 cloves garlic minced
2 cups chopped kale or swiss chard
2 cans chicken broth
1 quart water
1 cup heavy cream
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sausage and drain off fat
Place onions, potatoes, chicken broth, water and garlic into big pot and cook on medium heat until potatoes are done.
Add sausage, bacon ,salt and pepper to taste and simmer for another 10 minutes. Turn heat to low and add kale and cream.
Heat through and serve.
