1¼ c. boiling water
1 c. rolled oats
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
½ c. oil
2 eggs
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1⅓ c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Topping:
½ c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
½ c. cream
½ c. coconut
1½ c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Pour boiling water over rolled oats and cool. Cream together sugars, oil and eggs; add to oat mixture. Sift together salt, baking soda, cinnamon, flour and vanilla. Add to oat mixture. Bake in greased and floured 13x9x2-inch cake pan for 40 minutes. Combine topping ingredients and spread on warm cake. Place under broiler for 3 to 4 minutes.
