Ingredients:  
Place the following in a large casserole dish:
2 lbs stew meat 1 inch cubes
2 cups sliced carrots
1 cup sliced celery
2 sm onions chopped

Mix together and pour over above:
3 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. each sugar and salt
1 tsp basil or marjoram
1 can (16oz) tomatoes
¾ cup burgundy

1 can mushrooms
1 can sliced water chestnuts

Directions:

Bake covered at 300 degrees for 3 to 3½ hours
Add 1 can drained mushrooms and 1 cup sliced drained water chestnuts.
Bake for an additional 10 min
