½ to 1 Head of cabbage coarsely chopped or sliced
½ to 1 Onion chopped
2-3 TBSP bacon fat (butter is a somewhat acceptable substitute)
salt and pepper to taste
whole caraway seed (optional)


Directions:
Directions:
Melt the bacon grease, fry up the cabbage and onion until it is soft. It will cook down at least half the size. Season and serve warm.

This is a simple recipe and most people who say they hate cabbage enjoy this side. When it is fried up, it is so tasty!
