"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 pound hot sausage
1 8 oz. cream cheese SOFTENed
2 packages crescent rolls
dash salt and peter

Directions:
Directions:
Brown sausage and drain. Add salt and pepper.

Quickly blend in cream cheese. (I cut into small chunks so that cheese melts more quickly)

Unroll one pack of crescent rolls and gently press seams together. Spread sausage mixture over leaving about a 1/2 inch border.

Unroll the second package of crescent rolls and place on top. Press edges and seams together.

Bake at 375 for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Cut the edges off. Then cut into small squares and serve.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Alternatively, you can use puffed phyllo dough, cutting small squares and pressing into muffin tins, then adding filling of sausage mixture before cooking.

This is a tailgate hit, especially for a dreaded Noon game.....
