Baked pie shell
3 oz cream cheese, softened
1 c confectioners' sugar
2 1/2 Tbsp vanilla
1 c whipping cream, whipped
1 can cherry pie filling
Directions:
Directions:
Cream the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Whip the cream and fold into the cheese mixture.
Place in pie shell. Top with pie filling. Chill at least 8 hours for best flavor.

This was my birthday "cake" nearly every year of my childhood.
