1 c. yellow corn meal
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 heaping T.sugar
1 onion finely chopped
1 egg beaten
water
1 can chopped green chilis

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingred. add onion, egg, chili and enough water to form stiff dough that will drop easily off a tsp. Drop into hot oil and cook til golden brown.

I tripled the recipe for church picnic and they seemed to be a pretty popular item.
Note::I used only 1 onion and aprox. 1 c. chili for the tripled recipe. A food processer does a great job on onion and chilis.
