1 ½ cup flour
1 cup quick cooking oats
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup sugar
1 ½ tsp soda
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp salt
½ tsp nutmeg
½ cup shortening
1 cup water
2 eggs
2 tbsp dark molasses

Maple Nut Icing:
⅓ cup soft butter
3 cup powdered sugar
½ cup maple syrup
¼ cup chopped nuts

Heat oven 350º. Grease oblong pan.

Mix all ingredients together for ½ minute on low, the 3 minutes on high.

Bake 35 to 40 minutes.

Maple Nut Icing:
blend butter and sugar, stir in syrup and nuts. Beat until smooth.
