1 whole Chicken
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1 c. hot chicken broth
Salt/pepper to taste

Chicken:
- In large pot, cover chicken with salted water and simmer on medium/high heat until cook through.
- When tender, remove chicken from pot. Reserve chicken broth.
- Debone chicken and keep warm while making dumplings.

Dumplings:
- Sift together flour and baking powder into large mixing bowl.
- Make a well in mixture. Pour in 1 cup hot chicken broth, mixing first with fork, then with fingers. Add egg and mix well.
- Knead dough for a few seconds on floured board. Separate dough into 4 or 5 parts and roll as thin and possible.
- Cut into 1 1/2 to 2 inch wide pieces. Cut further into 2 to 3 inch long strips.
- Drop dumplings into boiling chicken broth and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Stir in chicken, salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and serve.
