1/3 Cup Balsamic vinegar
1 Tbs. Granulated sugar
1Tbs. Ruby port

Combine all ingredients in a shallow pan. Simmer over as low of heat as possible until the liquid is reduced by half.

I love to use this recipe to transform inexpensive balsamic into something thick and flavorful. Typically I drizzle it over roasted vegetables (broccoli, green beans, or Adam's brussel sprouts), but it's even great over strawberries and chocolate ice cream.
