Sift together:
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
¾ c. sugar
2 T. cocoa
Stir in:
½ c. milk
2 T. melted shortening
Directions:
Directions:
Add nuts as desired. Spread in a 9x9 pan. Sprinkle with 1 c. brown sugar and ¼ c. cocoa. Pour 1 ¾ c. hot water over batter. Bake 350º for 45 minutes.
