1 cup sugar
Water to cover fruit
Double crust pie dough (or canned biscuits)
12 tablespoons butter

Directions:
Add water and sugar to fruit in a saucepan. Simmer 20 minutes to cook down. Cool completely.

Roll out dough on floured surface. Cut circles, approximately 7" wide; re-roll and continue to cut out 12 circles. Spoon 1/12 of cooked cooled fruit onto middle of each dough circle. Fold over. Moisten inside edge to help seal. Crimp edges with fork. Prick top. Fry two pies at a time in 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over low to medium heat, about 2 minutes on each side to a golden brown. Note: If butter in skillet turns too brown, stop and wipe out skillet and start with new butter. Makes 12 fried pies.
