1 bag Northern Beans
1 c. molasses
1 qt. tomato juice
salt
1 heaping tbsp. mustard
½ box brown sugar
bacon & grease
minced onion

Directions:
Directions:
Prheat oven to 350ºF. Place beans in a bowl and cover with water. Soak until soft. Fry bacon and crumble; set aside. Place beans in a saucepan with a little of the water. Add molasses, tomato juice, salt, mustard, a little bacon grease and brown sugar. Cook. Place in roasting pan. Sprinkle brown sugar on top. Bake about 2 hours, covered. Uncover and bake for an additional hour.
