1 - 10 oz. loaf long thin French bread (18” long)
8 eggs
3 c. milk
¼ c. sugar
¾ tsp. salt
1 T. vanilla
2 T. butter, cut into 5 pats
½ tsp. cinnamon
¼ c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Grease well a 9x13 baking dish. Cut bread into 18 (1”) slices. Butter and arrange in bottom of pan. Beat eggs, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Pour over bread. Bread will float on top of liquid. Sprinkle with nuts and cinnamon. Cover, refrigerate overnight or up to 36 hours. Place in cold oven and bake at 350º (325º if glass pan). Bake 45-50 min until bread is puffy and light brown. Remove and let sit for 5 minutes. Bread will rise to top with a custard on the bottom. Serve with syrup of choice.
