3/4 c flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 c brown sugar
1/4 c melted shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c chopped nuts
8 oz dates chopped
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
350º
Grease, well, a 9" x 13"
Mix dry ingredients. Add sugar.
Add melted shortening to beaten eggs and combine with dry.
Add nuts and dates.
Bake 30 minutes.
Cut while hot and roll in confectioners sugar.
