1 cup dates, chopped
1 cup pecans, toasted, chopped
1 cup maraschino cherry, chopped in half
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
3 eggs
½ butter
1½ t baking powder
¼ salt
1 cup sugar
1½ cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Chope dates, pecans, and cheries and set aside.
Dust dates lightly with about 1 t flour
Combine eggs and butter.
Add dry ingredients to egg mixture
Stir in fruit and chocolate chips one at a time.
Pour into greased loaf pan lined with parchment
Bake at 325º for 1½ to 1¾ hours.
Let it rest and cool before removing from pan.
