4 cups flour
1 tsp soda
3 tsp baking powder
4 tsp sugar
1 cup Crisco
2 cups buttermilk
1 pkg dry yeast
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Add yeast and buttermilk. (I take yeast & part of sugar and add a little warm water. Set in warm place and it will bubble up)

Put in refrigerator and use as needed.

If I let them rise, I will put them in a hot oven. If I cook them immediately, I put them in a cold oven.

Bake at 350 degrees in center of over for approximately 15-20 minutes or until done.
