1 CUP WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR
1 TSP BAKING SODA
1 TSP SALT
1 TSP GROUND CINNAMON
1/2 TSP GROUND GINGER
1/4 TSP GROUND CLOVES
1/8 TSP GROUND NUTMEG
3/4 CUP FIRMLY PACKED BROWN SUGAR
3 TBSP UNSULFURED MOLASSES
1/4 CUP CANOLA OIL
2 LARGE EGGS
1 CUP SOLID-PACKED PUMPKIN
1 TSP VANILLA
3/4 CUP LOW-FAT BUTTERMILK
1/4 CUP UNSALTED RAW PUMPKIN SEEDS

PREHEAT OVEN TO 400 DEGREES. COAT A 12-CUP MUFFIN PAN WITH COOKING SPRAY.
IN A MEDIUM BOWL, WHISK TOGETHER THE FLOURS, SODA, SALT AND SPICES.
IN A LARGE BOWL, WHISK TOGETHER THE SUGAR, MOLASSES, OIL, 1 EGG, UNTIL COMBINED. ADD THE OTHER EGG. WHISK IN THE PUMPKIN AND VANILLA. STIR IN THE FLOUR MIXTURE IN 2 BATCHES, ALTERNATING THE BUTTERMILK UNTIL COMBINED.
POUR BATTER INTO PREPARED MUFFIN PAN, FILLING EACH ABOUT 2/3 FULL AND SPRINKLE EACH WITH PUMPKIN SEEDS.
BAKE ABOUT 20 MINUTES UNTIL TOOTHPICK COMES OUT CLEAN.
