1 cup sugar
1 egg (beaten)
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 cup cocoa
1/4 cup milk (dry)
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt

Bake at 350º for 12 minutes

Cream shortening and sugar and beaten eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add with liquid.
