Bonnie Sue (Burbridge) Keeling


cup Warm Water
1 package active dry Yeast
cup Sugar
1 cup Flour, sifted
1 Egg
cup soft Shortening
1 cups flour
cup rasins

Heat oven to 375F

In mixing bowl put water and yeast. Stir to dissolve.
Add sugar and 1 cup sifted flour, beat for 2 minutes.
Next add egg, shortening and beat until smooth adding remaining flour
Add raisins.
Grease a 8 or 9 inch square pan.
Drop small spoonful over entire bottom of pan, cover
Let rise in warm place (85F) until dough doubles in bulk (about 60 minutes)
Bake 30-35 minutes or until lightly browned
Take from pan immediately to avoid sticking
