1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
1-1/4 teaspoons seasoned salt
4-1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2-1/2 cups Corn Chex cereal
2-1/2 cups Rice Chex cereal
2-1/2 cups Wheat Chex cereal
1 cup salted mixed nuts

Preheat oven to 250º. Heat butter in large shallow roasting pan (about 15 x 10 x 2 inches) in oven until melted. Remove. Stir in seasoned salt and Worcestershire sauce. Add Chex and nuts. Mix until all pieces are coated. Heat in oven for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes. Spread on absorbent paper to cool.

Microwave directions: In large bowl melt butter on High for 1 minute. Stir in seasoned salt and Worcestershire sauce. Add Chex and nuts. Mix until all pieces are coated. Microwave on High 6 to 7 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes. Makes about 9 cups.

HOT & SPICY VARIATION: Follow above recipe using an 8-cup combination of your favorite Chex cereals and add 1/2 teaspoon chili powder and 1/4 teaspoon bottled hot pepper sauce. Follow cooking directions as above.
