½ c. shortening
1 egg
1-½ c. sifted flour
1 t. baking soda
½ c. sour cream
1 c. brown sugar
1 t. vanilla
⅓ c. cocoa
¼ t. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
30 Large marshmallows, halved

ICING:
¾ c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
¼ c. evaporated milk
1 t. butter
1 t. vanilla
⅓ c. powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream shortening and brown sugar, add egg and vanilla. Beat thoroughly. Sift flour with cocoa, soda, and salt. Add in thirds alternating with sour cream, beating until smooth.
2. Stir in nuts.
3. Drop from teaspoon into greased cookie sheet.
4. Bake at 350º about 10 minutes, or til done.
5. Place ½ marshmallow cut side down, on each cookie. Return to oven for about 30 seconds or until marshmallow is slightly melted on cookie.

For ICING: Melt chocolate pieces in top of double boiler; blend in remaining ingredients. Spread icing over marshmallows.
