5-8 medium potatoes
butter stick
4 tbs flour
1 tsp salt and pepper (adjust to taste)
3 cups milk
1-2 cups grated cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Cook washed potatoes in pan of water until ice pick sticks easily. Let cool. Then peel and slice into ¼" pieces.

Make a white cream sauce by melting butter in saucepan, then add flour, salt, and pepper. Stir in 3 cups of milk and at least 1 cup of cheese. When melted remove from heat.

Layer potatoes in buttered baking dish, cover with sauce, and repeat layers if needed.

Bake for about 1 hour. Top with cheese and put back in uncovered until cheese is melted and lightly browned.
