½ lb. ground beef
1 (28 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
½ c. water
8 lasagna noodles, uncooked and divided
1 large egg, beaten
1½ c. ricotta cheese or 12 oz. cottage cheese
2 Tbs. dried parsley flakes
½ tsp. ground white pepper
3 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

1. Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until meat is browned, stirring until meat crumbles. Drain well.
2. Preheat oven to 350º. Combine beef, spaghetti sauce, and water. Spread 1/2 c. sauce mixture in a lightly greased 7x11 in. baking dish.
3. Arrange 4 uncooked lasagna noodles over sauce mixture. Combine egg, ricotta cheese, parsley, and pepper; spread half of mixture over the noodles. Layer with 1 c. of mozzarella cheese and half of the remaining sauce mixture.
4. Repeat layers of step 3, using all ingredients except 1 c. mozzarella cheese. Cover tightly with aluminum foil, and bake at 350º for 55 minutes. SPrinkle lasagna with remaining 1 c. mozzarella cheese, and bake, uncovered, 10 more minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
