2 cups warm water
1 pkg. yeast
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
5¾ cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle yeast into ½ cup warm water and let stand 5 minutes. Put in large bowl the yeast mixture and rest of water, sugar and salt and beat in the flour ½ at a time until smooth. Knead well. Divide into two parts and shape into two long narrow loaves. Place on cookie sheet 4-6 inches apart. With sharp knife cut 5 or 6 gashes in top, about 1½ inches apart. Cover and let rise till well doubled in size. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
