1 pkg. dates, chopped
1 small can Pet milk
3 c. sugar
½ c water
1 c. nuts chopped(grandma used pecans)
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, milk, water and dates together. Let boil until forms a hard ball in cold water. Remove from fire(heat) and beat until almost cool then add vanilla and nuts. When cool, put in damp cloth and roll to form a round roll. Keep in cool place. Mom and Grandma refrigerated candy until ready to slice.
