2 cups cooked wild rice
1 large onion, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
cup grated carrots
1 can drained mushrooms
8 cups water
4-9 chicken bouillon cubes, depending on amount of chicken and taste
1 cup flour
1 cup heavy cream or milk
1 sticks butter
4 skinned chicken breasts or 1 lb plus chicken pieces

Directions:

Boil water, bouillon and chicken in kettle until chicken is cooked. Remove chicken from kettle, take off the bones and cut into cubes or shred. Return chicken to broth. In a saute pan, saute onions, celery, mushrooms and carrots in butter until tender. Sprinkle flour over until well coated; the mixture will be pasty. Add sauteed mixture, cooked rice, and cream/milk to broth. Heat and stir, do not boil. Let simmer at least 1 hour.
